Mets line up for AL Central in 2013 via ESPN New York
The Mets, along with other teams in the NL East, will line up to face the AL Central in 2013, a baseball source told ESPNNewYork.com.
While not official, an insider believed the Mets would host the Tigers, Royals and White Sox in 2013 while traveling to Minnesota and Cleveland. There also is the annual home-and-home series with the Yankees, which is expected to be reduced to two games in each borough.
The Mets haven’t faced the White Sox since 2002 — their longest drought against any AL team.

I hope this is true…hopefully it will mean less than two series in one season for the Braves against the Yankees. It’s simply not fair that we have to play them twice while someone else is beating up on the Royals.
I agree. I hate that the Mets play the Yankees as much as they do as well. I actually just hate inter league in general but it’s not going away anytime soon unfortunately.
